Trojan.Dingsta.A
| Discovered on: June 08, 2004 Description:
Trojan.Dingsta.A is a keylogger that tries to log keystrokes that are
typed in open Web browser windows. Then, it sends the captured keystrokes
to a predefined Web site.
Note: Virus definitions released on June 3, 2004 detect this
threat as Backdoor.Trojan.
Removal Instructions For Symantec & Norton Users:
- Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
- Update the virus definitions.
- Restart the computer in Safe mode or VGA mode.
- Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as
Trojan.Dingsta.A.
- Reverse the changes made to the registry.
