Description: W32.Donk.R is a worm that propagates
through open network shares. It attempts to spread by exploiting these
vulnerabilities:
The worm can also function as a backdoor server program.
W32.Donk.R is compressed with UPX.
Removal Instructions For Symantec & Norton Users:
- Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
- Update the virus definitions.
- Restart the computer in Safe mode or VGA mode.
- Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected as
W32.Donk.R.
- Delete the value that was added to the registry.
- Delete the lines added to the Windows Hosts file.
- Delete all the scheduled tasks that the worm added.
